Make It Monday ( Hair Scrunchies)

This is a great project for those of us learning to sew. It uses scrap fabric and a small amount of elastic.

First thing you do is cut a piece of fabric that 16 inches long and 4 inches wide.

Fold fabric in half, right sides facing.

Sew together  getting as close to the edges as you can. Leave a 2 inch opening at each end. Remember to back stitch.

Turn right side out and fold out the ends. Fold fabric in half.

Pin ends together and sew. remember to back stitch.

Cut a 7 inch piece of thin elastic

Using a safety pin pull elastic through the opening and go around loop so that it meets up on the other side.

Sew edges of elastic together

Hand stitch the openings and your done! ( Make sure you trim the thread edges off. I forgot to take a picture of this after I did it)
