Cherry Fuff

I made a new dessert for Thanksgiving and it was really good. The best part is that it took no time at all to put together ( I did it during the commercial break for the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade!) It is one of those desserts that would be good from anything to a cookout to a holiday dinner.

Cherry Fluff
1 (21oz) can cherry pie filling-
 1(14oz) can sweetened condensed milk-
 1(20oz) can crushed pineapple, drained-
1 (8oz) container Cool Whip, thawed.
Combine all ingredients, chill at least 2 hrs.

Tasty Tuesday ( Pizza Pasta Salad)

It is starting to get warm here in Indiana. For my family that means we grill out a lot and eat more salads . This morning I made up a pizza pasta salad that I think you will enjoy. It is simple to make but has a great flavor to it. The best part is that you will have these ingredients already on hand.

Pizza Pasta Salad

1 box pasta ( you can use any shape you want, I used bow tie pasta)
1 bottle zesty Italian dressing ( I used Kraft)
2 large tomatoes or container of cherry tomatoes -cut
2 pkgs of pepperoni- cut into small pieces
1 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp of garlic salt
1/2 tsp of parsley flakes
2 cups mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese ( use as much as you like)

Cook and drain pasta. Add remaining ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Optional- add green onions, olives, salami, etc.

Pea Salad

I have to apologize for the lack of posts lately. My oldest daughter has been sick lately and Stephanie has had some major life events happen. She will blog about that lately. With everything that has happened I spaced Easter coming up. If you haven't gotten your menu planned here is a great salad to make. It is quick and wasy and sure to please everyone in your family.

Pea Salad

Using a large bowl layer lettuce then a layer of chopped green onions. Repeat until the bow is 3/4 full. Using a tablespoon add 1 tbsp of miracle whip and then 1 tbsp of ranch dressing next to it. Do this until you cover the top layer of lettuce. Open a can of peas and drain. Pour on top of dressing mix. Layer shredded cheese on top of peas. On top of the cheese add fried crumbled bacon. Chill until cold. Mix well before serving.

Tasty Tuesday~Taco Salad

I love taco salad! It is one of my very favorite foods. We make it a couple of different ones but the one I am going to blog about is made with Fritos. It is so simple it doesn't even need a recipe.
First you need to brown your ground beef and then add the taco seasoning ( just like you do for tacos)
Cut your tomatoes up. On a plate layer fritos, ground beef, shredded cheese ( we like to use mexican style) and top with tomatoes.
Of course you can add whatever toppings you want but this is a very yummy way to eat it!
