today I am going to post a recipe that my boys love and it couldn't be much easier to make.
Liver and onions
you will need
2 packages of calf liver
about 6 table spoons on veg oil
flour for coating the liver in.
1( 3 lb) bag on onions cut in to rings.
coat the liver in flour
heat the oil in a large skillet with a lid. Then brown the liver in the oil. We are not trying to cook it now just get both side of the liver a little brown. Remove the liver as it browns. When all the liver is brown. place it back in the pan add enough water to cover the liver. Then add all the onions on top.
place a lid on top. Make sure to stir the pan often this will get the onions mixed up Cook until liver is done and onions have cooked down. You will be able to tell when the liver is done because you will be able to push your spatial right Thu it. that's it you now have liver with onion gravy.
I serve this with Mashed potatoes and green beans.
