Make-It-Monday Mod Podged Notebooks
Before I know it craft show season will be in full force. While cleaning I found a stash of these mini notebooks I had bought last year at the start of school ( when they have all these wonderful school supplies CHEAP!!) Anyways I decided to decorate a few of them. It is so simple to do and they seem to be a big hit at the shows.
First you need a notebook.
Put a thin layer of mod podge on the front of the notebook. Add scrapbook paper. I trace mine first and cut it out but you can put the full piece on and then use a xacto knife to cut around the edges.
Repeat on the other side.Cover top of paper with another thin layer of mod podge. Let dry
So simple to make and very functional!

make it monday Carnival birthday party
Hey guys since I moved almost 2 months ago I have been very busy. With getting things done to the house and trying to unpack and arrange things in a new house. Still not done with all of that.
I am also trying to start a new business. Planning birthday parties for kids. I figured why not take my 11 years experience taking care of children an put it to good use. Since I know what most kids like from trying to think up fun activities all these years. Also I have helped Mindy plan all of her DD parties the last couple of years.
The Name of my new business is Perfect Party Planning by Stephanie (P3)
So this weekend was my first party. I was a carnival theme for a 2 year old. First I made tickets for invitations. So I had to keep the party games pretty simple. We had a ring toss for drinks, a knock the cans over game, a fishing game, a face painting station, a bubble pop station, and a photo wall.
Today I am going to share with you how to make ticket invitations.
Our color them mostly red and white so I bought red card stock.
First I decided what I wanted the ticket to say then I went in word and made them up

RSVP
to the ringmaster at (phone number here )
Here is a example of what they said.
Then print them out of your card stock it can be any color you want I used red to keep with our color theme. I was able to fit 3 on a page.
Next you are going to cut them out with zigzag scissors.
Once they are cut out take around about 1 inch hole punch and in the middle of each side punch a half circle.
when you are finished it should look like this
If you have any questions please let me knows
I know this is not a new idea by any means and there are probably better tutorials out there but I forgot to take pictures every step of the way.
I will be posting more carnival themed stuff all week.

Cherry Oatmeal Cookies
My girls have been out of school for a couple of weeks now and already the boredom has set in. I didn't have many snacks in the house ( it was to close to grocery shopping day lol) so I figured we could do some baking. After looking through numerous recipes I came across these cookies and since I actually had all the ingredients to make them ,off to the kitchen we went. They turned out pretty good, the girls really liked them. I think next time I would add some more cherry juice in the mixture though. If you try them I would love to know what you thought about them.
